Abilene Christian University will host a series of speakers this fall, bring on campus well-known individuals who will stimulate and challenge our minds and hearts. Among the speakers will be Brian McLaren, speaking on the topic Reaching Christians for Christ. According to the lectureship page, [the] aim is that participation in this event will challenge you to see life as ministry and equip you to live as a minister in your everyday life. Together we participate with God in His mission for the world. We hope you leave Summit even more committed to following Jesus. Through this conversation, our prayer is that Christ will be seen more plainly in our neighborhoods, office break rooms, community service and churches.

Brian D. McLaren is author of many books (including A New Kind of Christian and More Ready than You Realize), international speaker, and church planter. He has appeared on Larry King Live, Nightline, and Religion and Ethics. He serves as chair on the Board of Sojourners Magazine. Brian is an innovative minister who longs for the Christian story to be seen, heard, and experienced by an increasingly secular society as truly "good news."
