Watch me! You watch me and this Mr. Cessna man here, I'll be the first preacher to buy a brand new, spankin' new, brand new jet that will fire all over this world. Get that sucker out of that glass hanger!...You can say all you want, Jack. I'll fly by your house and tip the wing. I'm gonna get something for Jesus. I'm gonna do something for God.

Preterism: The Prophecies of Daniel 2

Announcements by John Evans
On June 14-15 a Bible Conference is to be held in Sparta, North Carolina that is to be built around the theme of understanding the marriage motif that is found in the Old Testament and finds its fulfillment in the New Testament, which indicates that God chose the Christian church to be the bride for His son and that the marriage took place following the completion of a betrothal period that ran from approximately AD 30 to 70. In addition to presentations that center around the marriage theme, there will be some discussion of how the Book of Daniel fits into the marriage framework as well as discussion of the biblical understanding of the role of money.

In all, there will be sixteen forty-five minute presentations from six different speakers: John Anderson, Byron Dale, Lloyd Dale, John Evans, Danny Griffin, and Jim Nicolosi. For additional details, go to www.lighthouseproductionsllc.com

As a separate matter, I want to announce that my book The Prophecies of Daniel 2 will soon be in print and is to be published by Xulon Press. I have reviewed the galleys and am currently winding up my work on it by preparing a detailed subject index. The text of this book is going to be about 235 pages in length. It has eight chapters, consisting of an introduction, three chapters on the prophecy of the statue, one chapter on the prophecy of the rock, a long chapter that integrates Daniel 2 with Revelation, and two chapters that defend the proposition that both the prophecy of the rock and the thousand years of Revelation 20 should be dated from the first century AD. While I dismiss premillennialist and dispensationalist interpretations of Scripture, I take the position that the world has entered into a great crisis period in its history that is comparable to the first century AD in numerous respects.

The conference and your new book sound exciting.
If it is not too much trouble, maybe you could blog on the highlights of the conference.

Also let us know when and how we can order your new book.

Great news John!

Now how about a little excerpt from the book to whet the potential reader's appetite!
