(User Info | Send a Message) | What a mess. Reading that web site is painful. I don't think she was deliberately deceptive, just like many false prophets throughout history. I think she/they drank the Kool-Aid and held the conviction that they had heard something in a dream, but it really was the pizza she ate before bed. It reminds me of the Rich Mullins song, 'We Are Not As Strong As We Think We Are'.
There are many things about this that I could condemn her for, but I was nearly as much of a spook in my youth. This is why the message of Preterism needs to go out. The people she damaged are more than likely decent, good people fighting the same battles as us.
Virgil, I'd like to email her the Outline to Preterism, as I would bet she could really use a true revelation. She may see it as a new thing to attack, but she may see it as a way to restore her faith. |
