I place a curse on every man and every woman that will stretch his hand against this anointing. I curse that man who dares to speak a word against this ministry. -- Benny Hinn, Praise The Lord, Trinity Broadcasting Network, September 10, 1999 |

by Timothy P. Martin My oldest children and I are planning a backpacking trip in the Grand Canyon next spring. Since I have been involved in organizing group backpacking trips before, I wondered if any preterists out there might be interested in joining us for a few days. Anybody want to do a preterist “outback” camping trip? This could be a great time for preterist fellowship and an enjoyable spring trip into some of the most spectacular hiking country in the world.
I have backpacked in the Grand Canyon numerous times in the past. There are a few different trips that could be considered. In fact, the trip could be designed to allow for some to join us for a couple of days and then climb back out if it is not possible for them to spend the 5-6 days that I am planning for the overall trip.
Backcountry camping in the Grand Canyon requires a firm itinerary cleared by the backcountry office. Days must be specified in advance. There is also a limit to how many people can go in together in one group, so the spots on a trip like this would naturally be limited to those who committed first. It also helps to have plans cleared many weeks in advance in order to get the campsites requested. The dates I plan to do the trip are not firm, but should run around March 5-10 – a beautiful time of year to hike the canyon. It also gives those interested time to really get into shape (you’d better if you go). We’ll need to have our reservations completed by early to mid December. If you are interested, then contact me at: JVHSA at JeffersonValley.net
Thanks for your time,
Tim Martin

Listen Tim Martin: With words like that you are scaring us dudes at 50. I hated backpacks at 21. My back aches enough under my own weight! Can't you offer a car trip around Flagstaff or something? What do you mean by "Preterist fellowship"? Who cares that much about Preterism?
Hope you folks have a great outing. It does sound like a whole lot of fun!

I would love to go, but that is a bit too far a trip for me (Indiana). Hope you have a good time.

I've got an SPIE conference March 9-14. If I drive all night, I can sleep through the talks on Monday.

When you get to the bottom of the canyon could you do me a favor bro? I understand Noah might of lost his compass during the flood event and I was wondering if you could look for it while your down on the canyon floor:-)
It's funny the things we used to believe. BTW...if you neeed a sketch artist to document your trip, I know one.
Blessings,
