The Unfortunate Patriotism
Posted on Thursday, April 12 @ 11:59:10 PDT by Chris Charles

Politics theidealnate submitted: "It has become a depressing state of affairs to see America fall into the realm of Patriotism that defends "language, borders and culture" above the ideals that America was founded on. People have evidently mistaken the words of freedoms philosophers like Abraham Lincoln "No man is good enough to govern another man without his consent."

Thomas Jefferson "The will of the people is the only legitimate foundation of any government, and to protect its free expression should be our first object." and others like Thomas Paine"Society in every state is a blessing, but government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one."

Instead, America has been waged in a war of religion. Fear has become our defender, and Zionism its religion. Christianity has not been the religion that sprouted this cry for freedom, but rather the dogma by which all laws and wars are to be judged.

Unfortunately for the Christians caught up in this war, true Christianity has NOTHING to do with weapons of the carnal make. Instead, the mind of American Christianity has been captured by an American Zion mentality. That same zeal that would cause the destruction and enslavement of millions of Jews in AD 66-70, is now the downfall of the Christian morality in America. They have associated borders with the Kingdom, they have attributed language to the "message" and they have mixed the culture with the "mandate" of God. All of which is in grave error.

In their eyes, todays enemy is Islam and illegal immigration. The need to protect borders and defend Christian dogma at the cost of American military heroes lives is appalling and sickening to the soul of one who loves the true ideal of America. Perfect love casts out fear. And the fear of the "invading" pagan, is casting out our strength.

We have missed the boat. Our founders saw in the ideal of America, as expressed in quotes too numerous to post but represented by a few above, a possibility to make mankind free. However, the zeal of law, akin to the first century Jewish perspective, is crippling America.

The CONSTITUTION was a secular compromise of the ideals America was founded on. YES!! True patriots of "America" do not point to the constitution and "language, borders, and culture" to defend America, but rather it sees it's enemy as ANYTHING that stands in the way of freedom. I have the right to speak ANYTHING I wish. If I restrict the Muslim by law, what justification do I have to fight against a majority that would restrict the Christian? Law MUST remain unbiased, and allow the same freedoms for all to speak or it creates the precedent to restrict ANYONE not in the current status quo. This is the importance and essence of American freedom.

The ideals of American freedom may not be held exclusive to citizens either because the true America (the one fought for after the reading of the Declaration of Independence, NOT the Constitution) were based on the "rights of man" under God, not under the common law of a Republic. Therefore, those rights that were insisted on by the true Libertarian, Thomas Jefferson as a compromise (which became the bill of rights) are the rights of all humanity, everywhere. They are to be defended by all free men, at the cost of blood if need be.

Todays American patriotic base is unfortunately represented by the Zionist mentality of a self righteous defense (gained by borders, language, culture) of its dogma, and the zeal of the Constitution. But this is not America. America was fought for, before the Constitution was ever written, on the ideals of the Declaration of Independence. The Muslim may not be silenced. Words do not kill and his opinion in America MUST be defended. An illegal immigrant on American soil deserves the same right as the citizen because his right comes from God, not the Constitution.

There is more I can say and I could spend all day researching this issue (but this is a blog, not a study archive), but my point has been made. Those who believe in the ideal of America, not the dogma of what it has become, has a duty to defend the principles that founded it. This is not done by those who misdirect their anger at the poor, struggling for survival, instead of directing their zeal at the government that allows its law to be broken without consequence. Fighting the destitute is cowardice, not patriotism. Bringing America back to it's roots will not be solved by the zealot who would ship out every Muslim who holds an offensive sign that states his "anti American" feelings. Those people fall under the condemnation of their own version of political correctness. Instead, the true patriot acknowledges the Muslims right to sling "hate speech" at the American citizen whose government provides him protection, because the bigger man sees the defense of free speech to be above his personal dogma.

"Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." Benjamin Franklin

If we follow the current path of the ultra-conservative ideal, we will lose America. It is being defended by frauds who hold the law of a secular and compromising Constitution over the law of the principle of the freedom under God by which American Revolution was waged and American identity was defined. I am pissed, and refuse to give these frauds (who don't carry my chevrons or my M-16 into battle if called upon) an inch in speaking for a true patriot. I love America and America is an ideal, not a point on a map developed from treaties and law.

God Bless
Nate"

Thanks Nate,

"Zionism Its Religion"

Has Congress appointed a day in honour of Christianity, perhaps dedicated to a Saint or a hero like Wilberfoce? No. It has however set aside a day every year in honour of the most influential promoter of the Noahide Laws, Manachem Mendel Schneerson.

The Noahide laws teach that all Gentiles - Goy (read "soulless cattle") must follow the laws of Noah in order to be righteous. Schneerson was one of the strongest promoters of both Iraq wars. The only religious office on Capital Hill is that of the Chabad Lubavitch which promotes Noahide teaching. Schneerson himself made a big deal about the fact that both Iraq wars were timed on the Jewish calendar.

The Noahide laws teach that all idol worshippers must be put to death. They also teach that Christians are idol worshippers.

To those promoting this ideal Congress has dedicated "Education and Sharing Day" every year. The first President to promote this was Carter.

Yes, it is true, the closest thing we have to an official Religion is some form of Judaism / Zionism. (Just hear the hue and cry about Christmas trees, imagine for a minute if a huge Cross were erected on Capitol Hill. Menorahs are welcome though.)

The reader is encourages to Google for "Education and Sharing Day"

You can read Schneersons comments at:
http://www.noahide.com/rebbe.htm

A quote from that page:

Encouraging the abandonment of Christianity: "...according to the known Jewish legal ruling that Christians are idol worshippers.

--Likutei Sichos 37:198, from a letter of the Rebbe dated 26 Iyra, 5726, cited in Kol Boi HaOlam, p. 389

Paine on Church and State and America's Ideal (Score: 1)

A good direct quote from one of the top philosophers of the founding fathers era.

Thomas Paine in "The Rights of Man:"
"If also we view this matter in a temporal sense we shall see the ill effects it has had on the prosperity of nations. The union of church and state has impoverished Spain. The revoking the Edict of Nantes drove the silk manufacture from France into England; and church and state are driving the cotton manufacture from England to America and France. Let them Mr. Burke continue to preach his antipolitical doctrine of church and state. It will do some good. The National Assembly will not follow his advice, but will benefit by his folly. It was by observing the ill effects of it in England, that America has been warned against it; and it is by experiencing them in France, that the National Assembly have abolished it, and, like America, have established Universal Right of Conscience and Universal Right of Citizenship."

The wisdom of the founders was in not setting a precedence to allow dogma to rule the people. Their faith, even the majority with faith in the Christian God, my God, led them to also believe that this Christian God (as well as Jefferson's notion of God) DID AND DOES NOT want man to legislate His law for Him. But rather, we are commanded to see our brother as equal. If I have the right to speak whatever I wish, so does he. It is this charitable notion and ideal that cause them to found a government that gives God the credit for our liberties, but NEVER allowed them to restrict the liberties of those who did not believe in their same God.

that is the Muslim way, not the American way.

God Bless
Nate

If the Koran and its followers command a Jihad on infidels. And American law disctates that

A) Assault is a verbal threat.
B) Battery is the acting out.

Is American law about assault a bad law and, if under that law, do we really have the freedom to say whatever we want?

I will stick with the necessary evils =) Rather than a free for all.

The illegal immigrant is here "ILLEGALLY" hence the name =)

The Muslim DOES NOT have the right to say whatever he wants under AMERICAN LAW. If he threatens to blow people up that is ASSAULT.

With all due respect to you and your Chevrons, what exactly are you sworn to uphold and defend standing behind them and that M16? Are you defending and “ideal” from all enemies “foreign and domestic? What is a “foreign” enemy to an ideal? Is it somebody that does not believe the ideal? This ideal is the “rights of man under God” What God? If the Bill of Rights are the rights of all humanity, everywhere, that are to be defended by ALL free men at the cost of blood, then I guess you are good with our policies in Iraq. We are defending humanity to give them rights under God. Well, I thought you were a Buchananite. I guess you are a Bushie!

You must be getting your news from the North County Times, if you believe those opposed to ILLEGAL immigration are just cowards fighting against the “destitute.” If you think they are all just poor folks struggling for survival, you should have taken you own advise and “spent all day researching the issue.” If they have the same rights as citizens, why do you suggest we turn our zeal towards a government that won’t enforce its laws? Do you mean we should fight the government to abolish these laws, as these people get their rights from God and these laws are unjust? So they have all the rights, but not the responsibilities, I guess. Is one of their rights to steal from others, because they are poor?

How does Law remain unbiased? All laws are biased. What kind of laws would God have us use to govern by? The Declaration of Independence has a lot to say about laws. Apparently, somebody was abusing somebody, with unjust laws. Did these guys want to go off and create some more unjust laws, with no foundation?

So, who are these people that associate our borders with the Kingdom of God? Please explain what you mean by “attributing language to the message, and mixing culture with the mandate of God.”

You don’t think language and culture have anything to do with the ideals of America? I think history shows you are wrong.

Love you, Gunny!

Scott

Recent articles address the Israel/Constitution conflict --

Israel Lobby & U.S. Foreign Policy:
Apartheid and Manipulation

In our March 18, 2007 article we raised the question of whether U.S. Middle East policy was repugnant to the General Welfare Clause of the U.S. Constitution.

Specifically, we presented several questions that we believed needed to be answered: “What if the fundamental Rights, Liberties and Freedoms of Americans were being curtailed because the United States was becoming a police State? What if the United States was becoming a Police State because it was engaged in a War on Terror?

What if the War on Terror was a result of hostilities directed towards the United States because the United States was annually giving billions of dollars of its tax revenues to the Government of Israel, who was using that money to pay its military to seize and occupy territories belonging to Palestinians -- a people of a different ethnicity and religion -- and to support the tyranny of Apartheid and Ethnic Cleansing against the Palestinians?

On April 7, 2007 we reported that we had received a number of sharp and caustic emails following the announcement that we would openly and objectively discuss the constitutionality of America’s financial and military support of Israel, the role that America has played directly and indirectly in the destruction of Palestine society, the “War on Terror” that has consumed our nation, and the developing Police State and erosion of individual Liberty and the rule of Law here at home.

We responded first, by stating unequivocally that we are not anti-Israel or anti-Jew, we are pro-Constitution and deeply concerned about what is happening to the individual Rights, Freedoms and Liberty of all Americans; we are concerned about how American resources and policies are being used to serve foreign interests at the expense of the fundamental, unalienable Rights of the American people in gross violation of our Constitution; we believe that all human life is to be revered and honored with the enjoyment of the same unalienable Rights of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness that we proudly claim as Americans; and, we believe the protection of human life and liberty is every person’s duty and responsibility.

We then asked our critics to carefully consider and to answer for themselves a number of questions about their own possible personal biases and mis-perceptions regarding their understanding of the larger historical and spiritual contexts framing the Israel question, with particular focus on the higher-order Founding Principles embodied by the Constitution.

Nate,

Where does all of this hate America come from? I have seen many misrepresentations of America but this is probably the worst gibberish and claptrap that anyone could write!!!

The brothers and sisters from the Communist Youth Brigade and Democratic Socialists would be proud of it. It sound like the inspiration for Karl Marx.

You've been reading too many books by atheist, socialist libertarians. This kind of post belongs with blogs such as Austrian economics, or Lew Rockwell or Gary North, not a preterist website.

If you were to study Washington's "Farewell Address" maybe you would gain some respect and love for that Constitutional nation which was established and ordained to provide the blessings of liberty for our us and posterity.

Regards,
Tom
