News: Eikon Project Launched - And You Can Join In!

640 Million Children live in places you can never imagine, and while we live in our warm and cozy homes we rarely think about millions of homeless and abandoned children roaming the streets. The eikon project is an effort to raise awareness about those disturbing trends. My friend Ariah Fine is part of the project and is encouraging everyone to join in his guerrilla marketing efforts to raise awareness...read on for more information.

Ariah has taken an idea proposed by other marketers and turned it into a relevant marketing message. As you all know, many restaurants and coffee shops have little "table tents" on each table which are being used for advertising or listing of menu updates. The inside of the tent can be used in a brilliant and powerful way to illustrate the reality and harshness of homeless life, especially for children.

Unfortunately this disturbing trend is occuring in Romania as well. Tens of thousands of homeless children roam the streets of Bucharest looking for scraps of food in trash bins and living in the sewer manholes. It is a terrible situation, and I am thankful for organizations like Caminul Felix which are offering tremendous help to children.

Other groups like Salvation Army and and World Vision are also crucial to offering life-saving aid to the homeless all over the world.

I want to publicly thank Ariah for his genuine compassion and his concern for this terrible social injustice in which the most innocent and vulnerable...the children, are left to suffer and often die in unimaginable conditions.

May I add to this list Children's Hunger Relief Fund.

It has one of the lowest, if not THE lowest administrative rates of any charity, which means that 99% of all donated funds go directly to help children.
