Funny Stuff
Adam was a super being when God created him. I don't know whether people realize this, but he was the first Superman that really ever lived. First of all, the Scriptures declare clearly that he had dominion over the fowls of the air, the fish of the sea - which means he used to fly. Of course, how can he have dominion over the birds and not be able to do what they do? The word 'dominion' in the Hebrew clearly declares that if you have dominion over a subject, that you do everything that subject does. In other words, that subject, if it does something you cannot do, you don't have dominion over it. I'll prove it further. Adam not only flew, he flew to space. He was - with one thought he would be on the moon."

News: Q & A on N. T. Wright
Posted on Thursday, January 11 @ 18:55:45 PST by John

Interviews Dr. Jim Hamilton, a New Testament Professor at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary has written an interesting "Question and Answers" article on N.T. Wright, one answer being: He says provocative things. For instance, he thinks that when Jesus said that people would see the Son of Man coming with the clouds of heaven, no first century Jew would actually expect to see a human figure descending on the clouds. He says that this is just apocalyptic language being used to communicate the theological import of what is happening. Thus, he refers to “the so called ‘second-coming.’” He says that the statements in Acts 1:9–11 about Jesus coming just as they saw him go look like a “post-Easter innovation.” He seems to think the return of Jesus took place in A.D. 70 when the temple was destroyed.

John,
Thanks for posting a great article. I read it quickly this am and need to put some more time in to considering what Wright is advocating though.
