Vaccines: One of the Greatest Medical Advances God has Allowed us to Discover

It is amazing what happens when you tell people facts that contradict their beliefs. Ever since I posted my original page regarding the benefits of vaccination, I have gotten the most hate-filled mail that I have ever received. Every once in a while, I will get hate mail from an evolutionist regarding my position on creation. That's to be expected. However, I do not expect the kind of hate mail that I have received from other Christians. Nevertheless, I get such hate mail, simply because I choose to look at the facts regarding vaccines!
In these e-mails, I have been called "delusional," "deceived," "brainwashed," "ignorant," "in bed with Nazi-hold over [sic] Big Bio Pharmaceuticals," "paid off by the pharmaceutical companies," and even "pro-abortion." One person went so far as to accuse me of not even being a young-earth creationist. He postulated that I was part of some vast conspiracy to put vocal, atheistic scientists in positions that make them look like Christians in order to deceive the Body of Christ. Another person seemed to decide that the Holy Spirit was in need of help in His job, claiming that she doubted that I was even a Christian! All of this because I choose to look at the facts regarding vaccines and check out the claims of the anti-vaccination movement.
Of course, I remember the last time I got hate mail from my fellow Christians. It was during the Y2K nonsense. I posted the facts behind the Y2K issue, and Y2K alarmists who claimed to be Christians sent me hate mail in response.
As was the case with the Y2K issue, however, some people who have honestly been looking for the truth regarding vaccines have e-mailed me with their questions, and I sincerely hope that I helped them. However, the vast majority of e-mails I have received have been from those who have no desire to learn the truth. They simply want to berate me because I choose to investigate the issue rather than just blindly believe the claims of the anti-vaccination movement. If anyone honestly investigates this issue, he or she cannot come to any other conclusion: vaccines have been one of the greatest medical advances that God has allowed us to discover.
I decided to update this page from its previous form because I think it is important to compile the data regarding vaccines into one large resource, rather than several individual ones. If you are really interested in learning the facts regarding the vaccination issue, please follow the links provided below. Please understand, however, that you must have the courage to actually face the truth. If you have been deceived by the lies of the anti-vaccination movement, you might be upset by what you read. I do pray that you have the fortitude to proceed, however, as your children's lives might depend on it. Make no mistake, the facts are crystal clear: children and adults die or are permanently injured because of the lies of the anti-vaccination movement. If you care about your children and your loved ones, you will carefully investigate this issue.
Before I present you with links that lead you to the truth regarding vaccines, I want you to know a bit about why I take such a strong stance on this subject. Firstly, I am not, in any way, associated with any pharmaceutical company. My wife worked for a company many years ago which does have a pharmaceutical division, but it does not produce any vaccines. She also did not work for the pharmaceutical division. She worked in the division that produced research-grade reagents for biomedical research. She also quit that job in 1997 to run the business end of our ministry.
Secondly, I am not tied to the "mainstream" view on any scientific issue. I am not only a creationist, but I am a young earth creationist. I also consider global warming to be the scientific hoax of the century; the ozone layer problem to be blown way out of proportion; the CFC ban to be misguided and bad for humanity; and the "save the rainforest" movement to be well-meaning but deluded. Obviously, then, I do not simply toe the "mainstream" line. I hold all of these positions for the same reasons I hold my vaccination position: My faith and the facts clearly point to the truth of those positions.
I was first introduced to the anti-vaccination movement by a biology student. I discuss how vaccines work in my biology course, and the student was one who had been deceived by the lies of the anti-vaccination movement. At the time, however, I knew nothing about the movement, so I was eager to look into the matter. After all, I could imagine that the "mainstream" scientific view of vaccines was wrong. Certainly a lot of "mainstream" ideas are wrong (evolution, global warming, etc.), so I was ready to believe that the "mainstream" view of vaccinations was wrong. Thus, I read the references that the student gave me (a few websites and Neil Miller's book, Vaccines: Are They Really Safe And Effective?).
As I investigated this side of the vaccine issue, however, I became very disappointed. The materials she gave me demonstrated mostly the ignorance and deceit of the authors. Most of those in the anti-vaccination movement have little idea of how the human body or modern medical science works. Also, when they did reference the medical literature on the issue, they often lied about what it said .
Because well-meaning Christians have been fooled by the lies of the anti-vaccination movement, and because children and adults suffer and die when the anti-vaccination propagandists get their way, I consider it very important to educate those who have been fooled. Please investigate the links below. If you have been fooled by the anti-vaccination propagandists, you will be very surprised at what you read!
Note: In light of the discussion generated by "A Clash of Generations" I thought I would bring another topic to PP that has controversy(and hate mail) associated with it among Christians. While I am a vaccine advocate, I regularly modify the "routine vaccination schedule" at the request of parents that are unable to be reassured by information like that presented here by Dr Wile. Our children were not vaccinated. When the measles did the rounds in the school they got them. Now before you call me a negletful parent, here is the deal: We did our homework. Several children in the school had the measels. EVERY one of them had been previously vaccinated. Our children were sick for a few days and have never had the condition again. Some of the other children have had the condition reoccur.
Recently Whooping cough did the rounds here. (BTW we have one of the best health care systems on the planet and have a thorougly vaccinated population). The usual media and propoganda line was pushed. But there was a very interesting twist. The admission was that the majority of sufferers were in fact recent recipients of the vaccine.
A very good empiricle test is to determine just how many people who have been vaccinated are experiencing vaccine failure and suffering from the very condition they are supposed to be free of.
Additionally, I am not sure that it is fair to altogether dismiss the poisoning effects of mercury in some modern vaccines.
I am also highly suspicious of the tall tales of smallpox eradication. More and more stories from heavily populated, well vaccinated areas are emerging. My theory is that Smallpox will be back and it will be vicious. Our constant vaccinating may have knobbled our immune systems ability to keep up with this.
I am also concerned that the vaccine / SIDS issue has not been well identified.
Archie Kalokerinos is an MD who went to the Australian outback to administer the "jab" to our indigenous population. In his first visit he was welcomed and all was cool. In subsequent years as soon as he arrived in the outstations the mothers took their babies and ran screaming into the bush. His first visit had resulted in illness and death. He documented so much of this that he has become a crusader.
It has been a long time since I have communicated with anyone on this. One would have hoped that vaccine technologies have improved.
IMHO Greater health risks than vaccines exist today. Depleted Uranium, aspartime and MSG along with heavy metals in the water supply are likely to contribute to far more illness than the "jab". |
