Is Evangelical Biblical Fundamentalism Resentment Toward Authority?

This is an a article from an international commentator who goes by the pseudonym of “Spengler” he writes a weekly column and host a forum for the online publication “Asia Times Online”
The theme of this article portrays that some of the inherent weakness of the American fundamentalist evangelical movement is their desire to take the bible completely literal. Although Spengler is very provocative in his language selection for this article, his appreciation for evangelicals may be perceived as well in his writings.
In actuality Spengler considers the American evangelical movement to be the hope of the world; if I can be so bold as to infer from his writings. His purpose though in this critique is to reveal some of our deficiencies, and his wording is like hitting us up beside the head with a rolling pin.
If the reader can get past the apparent impertinent language used in this commentary they may find it informative to read some of Spenglers other postings that he links to from his article.

Asia Times online is a great website. Henry C. K. Liu is a pretty good historian for a global finance guy and has got a pretty good 5-part series running over there right now.
Spengler is a bright guy and an odd contributor to that site, but he seems to preach an existential salvation via the fertility rate of the West via Anglo-Americans and Israelis.
I believe Spengler is the same person who authored the Eiger Sanction, which was made into a movie.
He has a blog forum on ATOL, too. And he will interact directly there. He once responded to some comments of mine about the Israeli State and it's ethnic cleasing and discrimination against, not only indigeneous Palestinians, but even the 19% Israeli-Arabs.
But Spengler was in complete denial about such Israeli policies regarding prohibitions against non-Israeli spouse arrangements and non-Jewish Israelis prevented from buying or owning property in Jewish-only neighborhoods.
Even though Spengler criticizes Strauss and the Neocon School, I think he is one, nonetheless.
Peace to you all,
C. Livingstone
