We have a couple of important announcements regarding the way we will start communicating with you, about the Open Bible Project and the Month of Doubt. If you are familiar with PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) you may download our PGP public key here. If you wish to use PGP, you can download it for free from http://www.pgpi.org - if you have questions about this process, feel free to ask.
PGP Signed Announcements
* From now on, all official Planet Preterist correspondence, announcements and e-mails will be PGP signed. This is done in order to effectively deal with some people who are making up "quotes" from us, and are misusing and manipulating our public correspondence and messages.
* All correspondence, statements and notes claiming to come from Planet Preterist can be checked against our public key at http://planetpreterist.com/pgp/pgpkey.asc
The Open Bible Project
* A major milestone in the project was reached when all the Geneva Notes for the New Testament were uploaded. The Old Testament is in progress right now. Our goal is to finish the Geneva Notes as soon as possible, which will allow us to focus on the "real" work behind the project: developing our own notes and comments from a Covenant Eschatology perspective.
* Samuel Frost, the Editor of the project is asking all contributors to start participating with Genesis. We have concluded that serializing the work, and starting with Genesis 1:1 and progressing chapter by chapter will in fact be more productive in the long term, so unless you are helping with the Geneva Notes, please start working on Genesis 1 with notes and comments.
* Some have had questions regarding what the Open Bible Project is and what it does. Please read the FAQ on http://openbibleproject.org/FAQ where all questions you may have are answered in great detail. We are asking everyone to help in order to help us finish this project faster.
The Month of Doubt
* This will be a new exciting thing for us to try. We are already being criticized for it by the establishment, which tells us that we are probably doing the right thing. Encouraging Christians to respectfully and responsibly publicize their doubts and talk about them is what Christianity should be all about. This is a communal project that will help us all understand each other better and help each other grow in our faith. So please share your doubts with the rest of us if you feel comfortable.
