As I was ministering to someone, what I call a blocking demon took control of them. Blocking demons have very unique types of functions. They do strange things. But these strange things are diversionary mechanisms so that the exorcism cannot proceed. This demon somehow lowered the body temperature of this person - I mean their lips turned blue. They were dying. -- Bob Larson Live, March 26, 1996 |

To Think or Not to Think

Am I going to Hell?
Do I have enough Faith?
What if I sin too many times? How many is too many? One, two?
What if I change my mind on some of the "important issues": homosexuality, abortion, eating too many donuts, attending church, age of accountability, Eternity!!!
Which Faith?
Which Hope?
Which Love?
Which aisle do I walk down? Should I choose another, just in case? In which creed do I need to believe? What if I don't believe in your Creed? Was I baptized in the the True Water of Life? What if it's not the right water? Right minister? Right teachings? Wasn't dunked. Wasn't dunked long enough? Wasn't dunked in Jesus' Name -- just the Father, Son, and Spirit. What if...
I am confused. Come to your church, you say, listen to your pastor, and know your truth. Your truth will set me free, you say, confusion is not from God?
Maybe I need to let the Spirit lead me into all of YOUR truth -- wait a minute -- maybe it was to study to show myself approved. Approved to YOUR pastor? To YOUR elders? To measure up to the one's that matter the most? Why? So you and yours won't be too stressed when you see me coming around the corner...
Maybe I'm backslidden. But I hear if I am "truly" saved, I will return, for none are ever lost. Since He has never lost any that were truly His, maybe I wasn't saved to begin with. Or was it, if you sin too many times, you'll become lost again...hmm... maybe I chose to walk away...
What do I need to do for you, and your cause, and your belief, and your politics, and your...
How can I make you feel SPECIAL? Feel that you've done your job, to get those extra rewards on the other side? For all you have done TO me, I mean, for me?!
Then again, have you spent all you have, to save me (not just the 3rd world)? Do you care enough to go the extra mile to save me? What if I am your neighbor, a homosexual, a thief, a drug addict? Your Eternal Punishment seems to be for a long time? Will you do it all for me?
Or do you just expect me to live for you?!
I am frustrated -- though not as much anymore. I do not need you to agree with me. I want to learn.
You say, come to the Truth and the Truth shall change your life; lay your burdens down -- at least till you walk the aisle or get dunked in our water; do what we say -- or we will deal with you.
Is your Christianity to make others lives better, more satisfied, happy -- or truly tormented! Isn't that how you use your "true God" of Christianity???
I have been told, you will know them by their fruits. Is this what sets Christianity apart from other religions, save for faith in Jesus? Let's look at our track record. Crusades! Yeah, that was fueled by love. Back biting. Hypocrisy. The condemnation of others. Business practices. Oh, but we say God's perfect while we are not -- when we are "caught"! Are our motives really about God? His Salvation? Death no longer having a sting? If we believe that, what does that mean? For what is Jesus, really?
Can't we examine different ideas and still look at what our pastors, elders, teachers, parents, or other have taught us as okay -- or at least in the right spirit? Ideas change. People change. It is not necessarily black and white, like we are pressured to think.
Let us think.

The desire to control others is a strong human tendency. We have brought those desires into "religion" and caused much suffering for it.

Is Preterism the only thing we can be sure of? If it isn't Preterism it gets a "clown face" ???
You guys talk a good game - but when it comes right down to it...if there was no truth you couldn't understand these words I am typing.
I do agree though that the search for truth and our attitude is important. |
