Jesus, right not tonight, is rich. "As He is, so are we to be in this world." It's God's will for you to be rich.

News: Weekly BlogScan: Hurricanes and End Times
Posted on Sunday, September 25 @ 17:23:36 PDT by Virgil

Dispensationalism Hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico continue to spark news and opinion pieces all over the Web, but by far the strangest theme is the "end times" scenario. Based on prophecies in the Bible (and the Koran, and the "third secret of Fatima"—and "scientific" prophesies from ecologists), bloggers all over the world are discussing the signs that we are "entering the end of days."

The Emerging Post-Apocalyptic Church? (Score: 1)

Our world is a harsh place. Unfortunately, the only narrative that christians have to overlay upon the sufferings and disasters of life is an apocalyptic one. Both the New and Old Testaments are apocalyptic in their portrayal of disasters, and there is no way of avoiding the fact that christians will naturally default to such patterns of thinking. This is a serious problem for christianity, as the apocalyptic mindset is entirely false. Preteristic thinking is the only solution.

As non-apocalyptic christians, we must continually speak of the emerging "post-apocalyptic church" and "post-apocalyptic christianity." We must repeat this mantra and others like it until the concept is mainstream. I'm post-apocalyptic, are you post-apocalyptic? He's post-apocalyptic, she's post-apocalyptic. Etc. etc.

What if the last two hurricanes were man made? Several countries supposedly have this technology. If it came from outside it could be seen as an attack on the US.

If it came from inside .....

Perhaps there was more to the comments: "... were obliterated by the worst kind of weapon you can imagine"

One blogger says:

"The U.S. is being attacked by demonic forces, because the U.S. is a force for good in the world!"

Yet another says:

"It seems clear that the prophetic times I have been expecting for decades have finally arrived. And even worse, it appears that the judgment of America has begun."

So which is it? If these (presumably "Spirit-led") bloggers are right, the US is now both under both divine protection AND judgement.
