On the inside of you, you will sense something prompting you to say words and syllables. Just open your mouth and let the words flow. I do not care if it is 'la, la, la,' or 'da, da, da.' The devil hates it all." -- Rod Parsley |

JERUSALEM – While most religious authorities seem to agree one cannot discern the intentions of God, there has been talk in some circles here and on the Internet the storm that turned parts of the Gulf Coast into a disaster zone, prompting hundreds of thousands to evacuate their homes and possibly causing upwards of 10,000 deaths, was thrust upon the U.S. for its support of the Gaza evacuation.
"Katrina is a consequence of the destruction of [Gaza's] Gush Katif [slate of Jewish communities] with America's urging and encouragement," Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Lewin, executive director of the Rabbinic Congress for Peace, told WND. "The U.S. should have discouraged Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon from implementing the Gaza evacuation rather than pushing for it and pressuring Israel into concessions."

by leslie on Wednesday, September 07 @ 10:04:23 PDT (User Info | Send a Message) | Was it not 'prophecy' that New Orleans would flood decades ago at 'any time'? Oh, I know. New Orleans was/is the religious Capital of the United States. That must by why it was 'destroyed'.For years Preachers in this country have preached the 'corruption' and 'sin' of New Orleans and Los Vegas. Thats almost like saying that 'if' the U.S. 'made' the Israelis leave East Jerusalem then surly Los Vegas will be swallowed up because of a giant earth quack. "Looks like 'Gods' work cleansing 'the land' (tongue in cheek)." They are not tied together and it is an insult to any thinking people to try to. I also have some Gulf front property in Okla. if any one is interested. I would be more apt to believe 'this' if 'Lynchburg Va. were both 'stone and burned'. Sign, sign, everwhere a sign. I had better tune into 'Jack Impe' to 'see' what is in the paper this week.

Re: Did God send Katrina as revenge over Gaza? or Fallujah? or Neither? (Score: 1)
by chrisliv on Wednesday, September 07 @ 10:04:45 PDT (User Info | Send a Message) | Gee,
How grandiose of those immigrant settlers.
For once, a few of them got kicked off stolen property by their own chief thug, Ariel Sharon. And when they were shocked that a miracle didn't prevent their removal, they want to claim a hurricane half-way around the globe was a payback from God for the whole World not helping them maintain possession of stolen property.
No, if the Katrina hurricane were a judgment from God, it would more likely be a payback for what Wash DC and US Taxpayers have done to the poor men, women, and children of Fallajah and Bagdad recently via the bombing, invasion and occupation of oil-rich Iraq. And let's not forget the 12 years of harsh US-led sanctions that have been responsible for the excess deaths of around 500,000, mostly, Iraqi children. The depleted uranium (DU) that has been spread over Iraq through the use of banned munitions during Gulf War I and II, and in between those times is worth mentioning too, and will undoubtedly cause death and loss of health for Iraqis and US military personnel for a generation, or more.
So, with all of the destruction and military personnel around the Gulf Coast area of North America looking like Fallujah, it seems likely that Osama bin Laden, like the Israeli settlers, is probably thanking God for sending him a sign, too.
Poor God, everybody running around claim that He's on their side, and attributing every good or bad thing as a sign to their own self-aggrandizement.
Peace to you all,
