News: VanImpe whimps out of dealing with Preterism

In the past, PlanetPreterist and some of our readers have attempted to nudge Jack VanImpe into seriously dealing with Preterism on his show, but all attempts failed. Last week, Jack received a letter from one of his viewers asking him: "Do you ascribe to the preterist belief? Can you explain that briefly to me? -- Wanda Hicks."
As he did many times before, Jack vowed to deal with Preterism once and for all "next" time, which was last evening:
"My dear sister in Christ, next week I’m going to take this thing apart. Tell others about it. I’m going to show you that one of the propagators of this blasphemous teaching is Hank Hanagraff – the Bible answer man. Well, this is one Bible question he has wrong. It teaches that every sign happened by 70 AD and the extreme preterists believe that Jesus came back then, and my question is, “if so where is He and what day did He arrive?” How come the Mount of Olives didn’t split in two according to Zechariah 14:4? Come on now – next week I’m really going to deal with this."
The show came and because of "too many headlines," Jack said there was no time to discuss Preterism on the show.

(User Info | Send a Message) | | I've emailed Jack a few times with no response. (He appealed to Thomas Ice and Kenneth Wuest claiming that αποστασια means "rapture" in 2 Thessalonians.) I also know Don Preston has tried to contact him as well. I'm sure others have tried open a dialogue with him. Needless to say, I am not surprised by Mr. Van Impe's unwillingness to address the issue. |

I wonder if he'll ever come out of the sand. After all, it's a nice day outside, with the Son shining and the living water washing against the earth. Maybe someday he'll get tired of the darkness and see the light.
