You think you just got a problem and you got a devil. You think you just got a headache and you got a devil. You think you just got a problem with your bank account and you got a devil. You think you've got a problem with your temper and you've got a devil. You think you've got a problem with depression and you've got a devil. -- Rod Parsley, Praise The Lord, Dominion Camp Meeting; July 6, 1999 |

by Virgil Vaduva The year was 1947. A year earlier, the Communist Party won the majority in popular elections. Now, under the cover of darkness and with the help of Russian infiltrators, the Secret Police arrested King Michael and forced him to abdicate. He was to live the rest of his life in exile.
Life in Romania changed drastically once Communists came to power. The government started to keep secret files on dissidents, and built a Secret Police (Securitatea) which was so large that one in every five people living in Romania was a member or working as an informant.
There were two things that the Communists immediately did when they took power. First, they sent armed military personnel from house to house for the purpose of inspecting and confiscating any weapon, such as a rifle, shotgun or pistols. My grandfather told me that he owned a Luger which he somehow got during the war from a German soldier. He dug a hole in his backyard, put the Luger in a can of Vaseline and buried it. In fact, he buried it so well that he was never able to find it again.
The second things Communists did, was to immediately pass a law that would void private ownership of all things. Cars, land, homes, factories, you name it…was to immediately become the property of the state. No longer would people work hard to make others rich. Now, you could work together, for the benefit of the whole country; “all comrades are equal” was the motto. The problem was that some comrades were more equal than others. In Ceausescu’s example, he loved to build extravagant buildings on the land where family homes once stood. These grandiose buildings were “for the people” they said; and so they were. The People did enjoy museums and rail stations, while the former owners of the property spent the rest of their lives in one-bedroom shoe-box, ten-story apartment buildings on the outskirts of cities, right next to the garbage dumps.
Sometimes, I hear people, especially Americans, calling Communists “stupid” or “ignorant.” Stupid and ignorant people do not get to fool millions into voting them in power, or talk entire continents into turning their property over to them...willingly. No, Communists were not stupid. They were brilliant. They just overdid it, and people finally were fed-up with their greed.
The question for us is, when will The People be fed up with the United States Supreme Court? Today, the Supremes ruled that local governments take private property away from owners by force and against their will. Of course, it can all be done for the benefit of the community, for jobs, and more tax revenue. It all sounds wonderful, does it not?
I certainly hope that I am not the only one here seriously worried about this ruling. At least in Romania, Communists were voted into power by the masses. By comparison, the five Supreme Court justices were not voted for by the people. They are arrogant and unaccountable, and they know they can get away with ridiculous decisions that are blatantly unconstitutional and illegal.
Remember the lesson folks. First go the guns. Second, private ownership. How long will this Supreme Injustice continue?

I guess you can call evil, "brilliant." Satan was just that sort of fellow.
However, we have had the likes of Communists around since the beginning of time. They're no different today, than back then, just repackaged totalitarianism.
However, since people are made in the image of God, I would prefer to place the onos of the Communists coming to power on them (the people) not the so-called "brilliance" of the evildoers. The people deceived by the Communist rulers are the ones "stupid" or "ignorant", sort of how it is today in America. Yes, Virgil. The rest of the world does not have a corner on "stupidity" - Americans too are full of it. Just like ALL of us Christians, including myself, have been, BUT DO NOT HAVE TO BE NOW BECAUSE WE HAVE THE TRUTH.
Part of this truth is that God blessed a Christian remnant who came to these American shores from 1620 who sought to bring every thought captive to Jesus Christ and build a new world on God's Word. To the extant that they and other Christians after them sought this vision with all their hearts, God has blessed it.
Now, some 400 years later, those of us left who are seeking to live every aspect of our lives in and for Jesus Christ, recognize the handwriting on the wall.
The question is, will a sufficient number in God's eyes be enought to save this country? Will "ten righteous men be found?" |

In the book he shows the history of the court and how the judges are simply men like you and I. Men that make mistakes and have taken more power over time. I won't say any more, just get the book. It will open your eyes! |

All of the examples of "flight" had to do with redemptive purposes of God, not economic or political freedom. There were people in Jeremiah's day that said the Jews should get up and go. Jeremiah, speaking the word of the LORD, said to build houses and stay put. They stayed for 70 years. Redemptive purpose.
When Jesus incarnated, it was into a world of oppression, economic, religious and personal. You should read the new thread on my forum started by Ozark, and located here: http://www.infinite-grace.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=45&sid=039600f2adf1136589777da20ee7645d
God has purposes in this stuff. Our reaction should not be to run (unless someone has a direct revelation from God that he is working on some redemptive purpose here), nor should it be to fight (to kill), but how can we get anything accomplished if half of us think the other half are "know it alls" and the like? Sheesh, will we ever learn? Denominationalism and schism is alive and well in Covenant Eschatology. |
