News: Israel plans strike on Iranian nuclear plant
Posted on Saturday, March 12 @ 20:35:03 PST by Virgil

News By Uzi Mahnaimi
Israel has drawn up secret plans for a combined air and ground attack on targets in Iran if diplomacy fails to halt the Iranian nuclear programme. The inner cabinet of Ariel Sharon, the Israeli prime minister, gave “initial authorisation” for an attack at a private meeting last month on his ranch in the Negev desert.

Israeli forces have used a mock-up of Iran’s Natanz uranium enrichment plant in the desert to practise destroying it. Their tactics include raids by Israel’s elite Shaldag (Kingfisher) commando unit and airstrikes by F-15 jets from 69 Squadron, using bunker-busting bombs to penetrate underground facilities.

The plans have been discussed with American officials who are said to have indicated provisionally that they would not stand in Israel’s way if all international efforts to halt Iranian nuclear projects failed.

Tehran claims that its programme is designed for peaceful purposes but Israeli and American intelligence officials — who have met to share information in recent weeks — are convinced that it is intended to produce nuclear weapons.

The Israeli government responded cautiously yesterday to an announcement by Condoleezza Rice, the US secretary of state, that America would support Britain, France and Germany in offering economic incentives for Tehran to abandon its programme. v In return, the European countries promised to back Washington in referring Iran to the United Nations security council if the latest round of talks fails to secure agreement.

Silvan Shalom, the Israeli foreign minister, said he believed that diplomacy was the only way to deal with the issue. But he warned: “The idea that this tyranny of Iran will hold a nuclear bomb is a nightmare, not only for us but for the whole world.”

Dick Cheney, the American vice-president, emphasised on Friday that Iran would face “stronger action” if it failed to respond. But yesterday Iran rejected the initiative, which provides for entry to the World Trade Organisation and a supply of spare parts for airliners if it co-operates.

“No pressure, bribe or threat can make Iran give up its legitimate right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes,” said an Iranian spokesman.

US officials warned last week that a military strike on Iranian nuclear facilities by Israeli or American forces had not been ruled out should the issue become deadlocked at the United Nations.

After the death of Rafik Hariri and the futher margialisation of Syria it looks like this is a reality. Iran has said it would stand with Syria and Lebanon and vice versa. The problem for America is that the Iranians have promised fierce retaliation against an Israeli attack. Since America is seen as Israel's partner or slave (depending who you ask) US forces in Iraq and Afghanistan could be targeted by Iran in retaliation against such a raid.

Yeah, EWMI and Virgil,

Since it is well-known that Wash DC has recently shipped to Israel specially outfitted F-16 Falcon fighter/attack aircraft that can make bombing raids to Iran without refueling and that Israel was also recently given 5000 missles and bombs, 500 of which were the latest bunker buster type, it seems that the bombing of Iran is to political scare tactic.

Tel Aviv has been given everything, from Wash DC, for the mission. Israel bombed Iraqi proposed nuclear sites in 1981. Israel bombed some empty buildings in Syria about 6 months ago.

So, about the only thing that might deter Iran from being bombed by Israel, with hardware from Wash DC, is if Iran already possessed nuclear weapons, like Israel, or Pakistan, or India, et. al.

It reminds me of the old Smith's tune from the 1980's: "If it's not Love, than it's the Bomb that will bring us togather." So, the old mutually assured destruction paradigm (M.A.D.) is still something that is desperately sought after by nations threatened by nuclear neighbors.

Tehran knows that Wash DC is still wants to see a more pliable Iran, like it had with the brutal US-installed dictatorship of the Shah, who was imposed by a CIA led coup against the democratic president of Iran in 1958, and how after the Shah was overthrown in 1979, Zbigniew Brzezinski then publicly encouraged Iraq (i.e. Sadaam) to attack Iran.

No, Tehran is pretty savvy and patient. I'm guessing that if, or when, Iran is attacked by Israel that Iran will probably retaliate with only a measured response to Israeli targets which are not very populated. They know that Israel is just itching for a pretext or so-called "good excuse" via provocation to use its nuclear weapons on Arabs or Persians, and that nearby Wash DC military forces occuping Iraq are the only seasoned veterans in using nuclear weapons on civilian populations.

The Zionist movement and European Jews would have been far wiser to have just purchased Baja California as a Jewish homeland, rather than driving Palestinians out. Jews of an Israeli State could have been living on a Mexican Riveria in total peace, security, and abundance for 100 years now, and they might have even proved themselves to be a real blessing to Mexicans, Americans, and themselves, too.

Peace to you,
C. Livingstone

By the way, if Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 A.D. and the nation of Israel would be scattered to the four winds and that they would never rise again as a nation, what is she doing in Palestine today?

Well,

Yeah, I can see how a Dispensationalist could get all giddy about the UN Partition Plan and the forming of the Israeli State in 1948.

It's a Sign! It's a Sign!

But, that State was not formed by God, and it doesn't even follow the Old Covenant model. Of course, if some of the religious factions were ever able to set up a Sanhedren, destroy the Dome of the Rock mosque which has stood there since around 685 AD, without causing another Holocaust, and then build a Judiastic Temple with animal sacrifices that would certainly be quite an achievement, although a very disgusting one. And if God ever blessed something like that I'd tend to think He might be schizophrenic.

I mean, He would have to be, wouldn't He?

Wouldn't a God-ordained restarting of the Old Covenant with animal sacrifices and priestly genetic pedigrees be an affrond to the once-and-for-all shed blood Atonement of God's only Son, Christ our Lord?

Is seems very strange that any Christian would be cheering for that.

Peace to you all,
C. Livingstone

FYI,

There was a pretty good Tikkun article entitled, Letter of Resignation from the Jewish People.

It was also posted here:

Very fittingly, the article shows how Zionism and the Israeli State makes some American Jews cringe.

The article is a little lengthy, and was written by a socialist/marxist, but I especially like the last two paragraphs quoted below.

Peace to you all,
C. Livingstone

"As far as I’m concerned, the comedian, Lenny Bruce, provided the only good answer to this question when he said, "Dig, I'm Jewish. Count Bassie’s Jewish. Ray Charles is Jewish. Eddie Cantor is goyish… Marine Corps – heavy goyish… If you live in New York or any other big city, you’re Jewish. If you live in Butte, Montana, you’re going to be goyish even if you’re Jewish… Kool-Aid is goyish. Evaporated milk is goyish even if Jews invented it… Pumpernickel is Jewish and, as you know, white bread is very goyish.… Negroes are all Jews… Irishmen who have rejected their religion are Jewish… Baton twirling is very goyish”.6

"To this I would only add, “Noam Chomsky, Mordechai Vanunu and Edward Said are Jewish. Elie Wiesel is goyish. So, too, all ‘Jewish’ neo-cons. Socialism and communism are Jewish. Sharon and Zionism are very goyish”. And, who knows, if this reading of Judaism were to take hold, I may one day apply for readmission to the Jewish people."
