I'm careful in how I'm saying it now, because I know that people in Kenya are listening. I know deep in my soul something supernatural is going to happen in Nairobi, Kenya. I feel that. I may very well come back - and you and Jan are coming. Paul and Jan are coming to Nairobi with me - But Paul we may very well come back with footage of Jesus on the platform. -- Benny Hinn, TBN Praise-a-thon, April 2, 2000 |

News: Procter & Gamble boycott builds momentum

Nearly a quarter-of-a-million people have signed a pledge to boycott Procter & Gamble products because of the company's policy on homosexual rights. As WorldNetDaily reported, the American Family Association and James Dobson's Focus on the Family are promoting the boycott of the Cincinnati-based company for its efforts to overturn a local law barring special rights to homosexuals.
Dobson has urged listeners of his daily radio program to stop buying two of the company's best-known products, Tide laundry detergent and Crest toothpaste.
He argues that in addition to giving $10,000 to the campaign to overturn the amendment in November, Procter & Gamble has said it "will not tolerate discrimination in any form, against anyone, for any reason."
The family advocate says while the company does not explicitly endorse same-sex marriage, its statements and policies communicate the notion that restricting marriage to one man and one woman is discriminatory.
A Procter & Gamble media contact gave WND the company's standard response to the boycott.
"Statements and assertions made by these organizations are wrong. P&G has not supported gay marriage. The definition of marriage is a subject that will be debated and decided by voters."
Donald E. Wildmon, founder and chairman of AFA, said P&G is aggressively leading the fight to repeal the law.
Citizens to Restore Fairness, the group advocating special rights for homosexuals, is chaired by Gary Wright, an employee of P&G on a leave of absence to lead the campaign. Wright also heads P&G's corporate homosexual group GABLE/P&G.
Wildmon says P&G has written its employees, encouraging support for the company's efforts.
He stated that while P&G supports laws favoring homosexuals, it refuses to back the Ohio Marriage Protection Amendment which defines marriage as being between one man and one woman.
P&G has been promoting the homosexual political agenda for years, Wildmon says, including advertising in homosexual-themed publications and television programs.

The sooner the rich TBN types start investing in competative Christian businesses and stop spreading "false gospels" then we can consider boycotts.

When market leaders are forced to shut down their unfair, unjust, or unethical practices, the rest of the businesses will follow suit. In the same way, if a business ventures into a controversial practice for the first time and is successful and unopposed, the rest of businesses follow and we get a lower quality of life in our society.
BTW, of course I agree about creating competitive christian businesses, leadership, networking etc. But we can do multiple things at once. It's not either/or, but both/and. |

Liberals and pagans have entirely changed the values and laws in America. They did this through a variety of tools. They work hard to elect liberals to offices, and especially to judicial offices. They create lawsuits in court against business and the state. They organize opposition to corporations that don't support their causes and positions. In a nutshell, they are good at citizenship within our democratic republic.
Christians have for too long sat on the sidelines and watched liberals take over. That has to change. Christians must become business leaders, governors, judges, etc. etc. They must decide that they CARE about what goes on around us. |

Amen Bro! (Nice to be on the same page with you sometimes)
That is what I meant.
I am sorry, but I see little effect in boycotts if any at all. I can look into almost any business and find things they are doing with their profits I may not like. Things that may be anti-Christian.
It is not their money which spread the anti-gospel of "homosexuality," it is the willingness in the lawmakers and godless masses to agree with this minority and our education system which really do the harm. That is the battle I chose to fight. The boycott battle isn't hard, it is impossible, we would have to boycott almost anything.
God Bless
