It appears that there will be three separate things or marks which will qualify a man to buy or sell. The first is called the 'Mark of the Beast.' If indeed the antichrist is the leader of the Soviet Union, then the mark may well be the Red Star — the universal communist symbol. This may be a simple tattoo of the communist Red Star. -- Robert W. Faid |

News: Should we become "Left Behind Affiliates"?

Planet Preterist is now facing a major hurdle in deciding which route to take: should we become Left Behind Affiliates or choose to continue to not make enormous profits by ripping off unsuspecting dispensationalist evangelicals? I know that business is tough ou there, but the Left Behind folks are now marketing to Preterist outlets?
Recently we received this mail message:
From: Natalie Pappacoda
E-mail: leftbehind_affiliate@waterfrontmedia.com

They peddle that stuff pretty hard.
Several years from now, when those old Left Behind books are found dusty and lying in basements or at flea markets, people may ask, "What's this doing here?".

I'm reminded of Christ's feelings of outrage towards the moneychangers and sellers of sacrificial animals in the Temple. I think the scourge of Truth should be applied ruthlessly to these vendors of slickly packaged lies. They profit on the gullibility and suceptibility of naive, pooly educated (in terms of the Scriptures) seekers of Truth.
My disgust and revulsion over the charlatanry and utilitarianism of these Dispys is virtually inexpressible. They need to be put in their place - hard.

I don't know if this is accurate, but it would be a tough thing explaining to God someday why just because you got some money you promoted a book that spoke lies about His word. I would certainly not want to find myself in THAT situation, but would that even be the situation?
I would say be very careful in this decision. |

And, any money you make from it (if you still feel that bad about it) you can use to buy us all a beer (or caffeine-free soda for the many Mormon Prets around here).
Or better yet, write them an email that says, “Dear friend, if you are reading this e-mail write now and wondering where I went to, I’ve been raptured according to the Scriptures and you’ve been left behind to experience what the Bible calls the Great Tribulation… but there is still a chance to repent from your dispensational deceptions, log on to Planet Preterist today to find out how.” |

You're the admin of this site....exactly what is your feeling about this? Do you have a point of compromise for gain?
In fact, I would like to ask all of you, does the end justify the means?Meaning should we promote our view with whoever, however, whenever we can or are their limits to what we will do? Who decides what is ethical?
I suppose that is a question that each of us has to ask of ourselves, but for now, I'm asking you.
Blessings,
