If you did not attend the TruthVoice 2004: The Road Ahead conference, you missed a great opportunity for growth and fellowship with other believers. Christians from all over the country traveled long distances to attend the conference and learn more about the realized presence of God and its effects on the future of mankind and serious discussions were carried out concerning the future of Preterism.
The conference consisted of a good blend of deep theological presentations, storytelling and introductory topics on Covenant Eschatology, with elective sessions giving attendees the opportunity to attend sessions presented at their level, or listen in to their favorite speaker.
Virgil Vaduva, founder of PlanetPreterist.com opened the conference with a short introduction to Covenant Eschatology, and later on discussed the parallels in the eschatologies of the books of Deuteronomy and Revelation, and the covenantal relevance of each book. Samuel Frost, author of Misplaced Hope and Exegetical Essays on the Resurrection of the Dead discussed both the historical progression of Church doctrine in light of Preterism and the Resurrection of the Dead as presented in his latest Essays. Sam also hosted a book signing to celebrate the release of his new book. The same topic of the Resurrection was presented by Jack Scott, illustrating the fact that the essence of the New Covenant is in fact the Resurrection of the dead, not a future physical event, but more importantly a spiritual return to Life in the New Covenant of Christ.
Terry Hall, minister at the Miami Valley Church in Xenia, Ohio spoke in regards to the importance of the A.D. 70 events, the often under-estimated importance of these events and how they are affecting us today, and William Bell, minister from Memphis, TN, spoke on the important topic of When Was the Law Fulfilled? Ovid Need, publisher of The Biblical Examiner also spoke on the topic of Zionism and the destructive influence of Dispensationalism on today’s society.
Lennard Moses, a professor at Central State University was also one of the more interesting speakers at this year's conference. In a unique and colorful style, Lennard covered the most basic issue facing Christians: what does it mean to live like Christ did?
They keynote speaker for TruthVoice 2004 was Tim King, President of Presence Ministries, from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Tim made some very pointed comments in regards to Preterism, showing why if Preterism is to succeed, it needs to move beyond its reactionary and counter movement nature and effectively address current biblical, social, economic and educational issues. Tim pointed out that in today’s post-modern culture a post-modern mindset is required in order to have a positive effect on the world. In Tim’s opinion, Preterism is only addressing modern issues head-on, and is at risk of being becoming obsolete.
Overall, judging by the many positive comments received from attendees, TruthVoice 2005 was a smashing success, even better than the 2004 conference. The caliber of the TruthVoice 2004 speakers was impressive, the topics discussed were extremely important, and important issues were raised by all speakers concerning the future of Preterism. The TruthVoice organizers believe that the fellowship of Transmillennialists and Preterists in itself is a great step towards promoting unity and understanding, especially amongst those who have an understanding of realized eschatology.
We also had some successes from a technical perspective. The TruthVoice 2004 conference was broadcast live via TruthVoice Radio, and those unable to attend were able to tune in and listen to the presentations. DVDs, CDs and downloadable audio will soon be available here in the bookstore.

We want to thank all the TruthVoice 2004 participants. They were willing to attend and support us despite some of the negative comments made by some who appear to be bent on creating a divisive environment amongst Preterists.
The planning for TruthVoice 2005 is already underway. We are in desperate need for help, and if you are willing to help us, we would greatly appreciate it. To make TruthVoice 2005 another success, we need help in the following areas:
Simply plan to attend the conference and bring at least ONE friend with you.
Become a volunteer and help us with the event planning, book table and registration.
We need several technical people willing to help with the audio/video setup, recording and the radio broadcasting.
Become a Planet Preterist voluntary subscriber or a monthly supporter. All Planet Preterist subscribers can attend the TruthVoice conferences free of charge and receive discounts on bookstore purchases.
Purchase books and materials in our bookstore.
Give us financial support. We are considering making the conference attendance free with only a suggested donation, so that as many as possible can attend.
May God give all of us a successful year ahead of us and help us promote the understanding of Scriptural truth.
