"The Holy Ghost is upon me...The day is coming when those that attack us will drop dead. You say, 'What did you say?' I speak this under the anointing of the Spirit. Can I tell you something? Don't touch God's servants; it's deadly...Woe to you that touch God's servants. You're going to pay. 'And the day will come," the Lord said that to me. He said, "The day will come when I will punish instantly. Woe to those that touch my chosen.' They will fear us. Hear this: today they mock us; tomorrow they will fear us."

News: Anti-Defamation League continue defaming The Passion of Christ
Posted on Saturday, January 24 @ 05:01:53 PST by Virgil

News After screening Mel Gibson's film "The Passion of the Christ," the Anti-Defamation League issued a scathing press release Thursday stating that the film will foster anti-Semitism.

But sources close to Gibson's production company told NewsMax's James Hirsen that the ADL, which was hostile to the film before anyone had even viewed it, has never been invited to screen it.

How, then, was the ADL able to see the movie?

In their press release, ADL National Director Abrahama Foxman and another ADL official said they saw the film while attending a "religious gathering" in Orlando, Fla., called the Beyond All Limits Conference.

As it turned out, Hirsen informs us, the religious conference is organized by the Global Pastors Network.

Sources at Icon Productions were surprised to learn that the uninvited ADL officials had registered for the Christian conference under the name "The Church of Truth."

Soon after seeing the film, the ADL issued a strongly worded statement that calls Gibson's picture a "painful portrayal" and a "commercial crusade to the church community."

Despite the hoopla, a number of Christian leaders who have seen the film found it remarkably consistent with Gospel accounts of Jesus' last hours and in no way condemnatory of Jewish people.

America's most influential minister, the Rev. Billy Graham, gave a glowing review of the movie.

"I have often wondered what it must have been like to be a bystander during those last hours before Jesus' death," Graham said.

"After watching 'The Passion of the Christ,' I feel as if I have actually been there.

"I was moved to tears. I doubt if there has ever been a more graphic and moving presentation of Jesus' death and resurrection – which Christians believe are the most important events in human history.

"The film is faithful to the Bible's teaching that we are all responsible for Jesus' death, because we have all sinned. It is our sins that caused His death, not any particular group."

"No one who views this film's compelling imagery will ever be the same," Graham said

I use to admire the ADL but as of recent months am convinced that they are no more than a Rabbinic PR firm. I haven't seen this film (and probably won't) but I have been amazed by the ADL's over-reaction; based upon both general reviews and their own critical account of the films accuracy. If it's true to the historic record, what's their problem? The ADL produced a document titled "On the Use of the Talmud in Anti-Semitic Polemics" in January 2003. The focus of this document is in defending such teachings as non-Jews (goyem) as not human, Kol Nidrei (it's ok to lie to non-Jews), and demeaning the figure of Jesus under the guise of a biblical magician by the name of Balaam (among other topics). This document is extremely articulate and their logic is sound; and if I didn't live in Jerusalem, if I didn't see the product of what's being taught in Jerusalem Yeshivas, if I wasn't faced with this bigotry everyday, then I to would buy their argument. Their defense is that certain issues are offensive to both Jews and non-Jews, but hey, it's tradition and history so lighten up! I would ask them to take their own advice. To head off any mud slinging or name calling let me say that I'm an American photographer (not journalist) living in Israel and I've always supported the existence of Israel; I've learned to dislike "Rabbinics" and I've always had a very low threshold for bigots.

Matt.27:20-25 talks about how the chief priests and elders persuded the multitudes that the should ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus. Verse 25: And all the people answered and said, "His blood be on us and our children." Yes, Christ died for all of the sins of the Elect, and that is why he came. But it is still a historical fact that he died through the hands of the Jews, even if the Romans executed the cruxifiction. I guess some people have to grasp the fact that the Church are the people of GOD and not the Jews anymore. The truth hurts sometimes but it can set one free.

Semitic reality:

The word “Jew” is a very imperfect translation for the Greek “Ioudaios”, even deceptive. Biblical context sometimes defines it as a “Judean” - a person who is a descendent of Jacob/Israel, and in the New Covenant, who also is birthed anew by the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ.

However, in other passages it is defined as a “Judaist” - a person who practices the religion of Judaism. Incomplete or misleading translations like "Jew" complicate our understanding.

A Semite is a person who is a descendant of Shem, the eldest of Noah’s three sons. Shem’s two brothers were Japheth and Ham.

More than 70% of Judaists (see Peter B. Clarke, The Religions of The World) are descendents of Ashkenaz and known as Ashkenazi Judaists. The other 30% are Sephardic Judaists, a mixture of several nationalities who lived in and around Spain for the last 2000 years.

Webster’s 3rd New International Dictionary, A.D. 1981, entry:
“Ashkenazi…a member of one of the two great divisions of Jews [Judaists] comprising the eastern European Yiddish- speaking Jews [Judaists] - compare Sephardi”.

The Ashkenazi are geographically traced from regions in southern Russia and are also known as Khazars who called themselves “Gog”. Genesis shows their lineage is from Japheth - not Shem.

“The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog…
The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz…”
Genesis 10:2-3

Sephardic Judaists are multi-national with no ability to trace lineage back to Shem. Neither the Ashkenazi or Sephardi can show a proper claim to anti-Semitism. Just a side note; Magog’s nephew Ashkenaz invaded Palestine in A.D. 1948.

Judaists do not acknowledge Jesus of Nazareth as the Christ.

“Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh…any such person is the deceiver and the anti-christ….anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work.” 2 John 7-11.

Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the anti-christ...” 1 John 2:22.

“A man is not a Judean if he is only one outwardly…No, a man is a Judean if he is one inwardly…by the Spirit…” Romans 2:28-29.

“Not all who are descended from Israel are Israel…” Romans 9:6.

“I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you [Judaists] and given to a nation [Christians] who will produce its fruit.” Matthew 21:43.
