I've been preaching 25 years almost; I've never seen the anointing as frightening as I saw in Denver Friday night; and so when you hear me in just a little bit give blessings and cursings ... any who attack this anointing, I speak a judgment on them.

Exclusive: NEWS FLASH: The Sprouls on Preterism: Like Father, Not Like Son!
Posted on Saturday, March 16 @ 22:22:05 PST by Michael Overbay

PlanetPreterist Columns by Michael Overbay
RC Sproul Sr. and RC Sproul Jr. don't exactly see Preterism in the same light. Today Ligonier Ministries concluded it's 'War on the Word' conference in Orlando, Fl. My sister, Michelle Overbay, was in attendance. She also happens to work at the host church. With over 4500 in attendance she managed to ask both the Sproul's the same question: "How can a Christian call another Christian a heretic and is a Preterist a heretic"? The answers are surprising!

She first approached RC Jr with this question. When asked he laughed and said 'of course they are heretic's, they deny the second coming of Christ'. She then asked "well what about Partial Preterist"? And he replied, 'you are talking to one"! She didn't have a response because she was surprised by his attitude and answer. After another speaker gave his talk she set out to find RC Sr. and get his response. Upon asking him the same question he paused. She then added that "your son said they are heretics because Preterist deny the second coming of Christ", and his response was 'he would say that! They don't deny the second coming, it's the timing that is different'!He paused once again and after a moment he told her 'I can't go as far as to call them heretics. If anything I could say that they are in error but I'm still looking into all this'. So there you have it! Thanks to the boldness of a fellow Pret we have a bit more insight on at least what two popular figures on the Christian scene are thinking about Preterism. Michael E. Overbay

This goes to show the level of ignorance among people out there concerning preterism. We deny the second coming of Christ? wow..:)

Sometimes I wonder what is worse, dispensationalism or partial preterism. At least dispensationalists attempt to be consistent in their position...i can't say the same about partial preterists.
