The book of Revelation makes it clear that John wrote his letters to the angels of the Church. Who are the angels that God will use? They are ministers called by God to boldly proclaim the Word of God.

News: Let's Build the Next House
Posted on Wednesday, December 17 @ 14:15:01 PST by John

Preterism In a recent article, Jay Gary writes: "Vaduva went on to bemoan how various fulfilled prophecy writers have "either recanted Preterism, refused to continue sharing their insights with other readers, or condemned Preterism altogether for not addressing certain issues to their liking!" While Vaduva's essay reads more as an in-house appeal for unity among writers on his website, the question, "Are we all working on the same house?" is a valuable one for anyone who has invested in Covenant eschatology since 1971."

I, personally, like Jay's emphasis on an emerging "Paradigm 6" - the "trans-modern macro-paradigm" which will incorporate fulfilled eschatology into it but will not be defined by it alone.

I can particularly relate to this statement, "Those who wring their hands over the unraveling of "preterism" don't get it. Max King never designed Covenant Eschatology for settlers, but for explorers. And Presence, the founding ministry of Covenant Eschatology, will take no rest and give no rest, until it shapes the next generation of fulfilled prophecy."

I am an "explorer", and am currently systematizing the paradigm having its foundations in the Full Preterist eschatology (or, more accurately, in the rigorously historical, contextual hermeneutic upon which the FP paradigm is based and according to which it is governed). Soteriology is my focus at present, but I have developed a position on the attributes of God that is outside the formulated position of "orthodox Christianity" (or, more accurately, the Creedal perceptions of "orthodox Churchianity").

I believe we do, indeed, face a massive task (as Jay indicates in his article) in deconstructing and reconstructing the majority understanding of Kingdom dynamics and realities. We need to tear down the perceptual "Cathedrals" of previous generations, and allow the true, internal Temple to be explored and magnified. May our focus ALWAYS be "sola Scriptura" in our foundational development of Paradigm 6. We owe this much to future generations.

Why does every discussion come down to a "gotta do it my way, or the highway" conclusion? The "what now?" of Transmillennialism(R) does not demand that anyone do anything in particular. Transmillennial thought requires preterists to think about the implications of their paradigm. Tim, Jay, Max, et al are not sitting in some office somewhere trying to organize us into little "what now?" brigades. They are trying to get us to think.

One of us might start a business, now that we no longer have the "end of the world as we know it" hanging over our heads. One might become a politician, to put forth, not a conservative or liberal agenda, but to put forth an agenda that blesses all people everywhere. Sure, there might be disagreements, but that is healthy, when dealt with in a healthy way.

My plan, as a Transmillennial Infinite Grace dude, is to go into hospice. I am getting ready to start nursing courses, to be followed by a Master's Degree in Counseling or Divinity, in order to take my medical training, and my counseling training to folks who are nearing the end of their lives on earth. I want to be there to share the love of God through Jesus Christ with them. That is a "what now?" answer (I believe). What are you going to do? Sit on the internet all day and argue theology? Well, I probably will too. I don't want to but that part of me that wants to be right still hasn't been totally dealt with.

Re: convincing futurists about preterism. Those who want to know will come. Many don't want to know. Articles have been written. Websites exist. When is it enough?

RE: in-family debates. Does it harm the movement? yes, and no. It is healthy to discuss, so that we can come to a point where we can then make a difference in the world. It is not healthy when we rely on intellectual argument to change people. I believe that when we move past futurism, and its tenticles, we will so affect the world around us that futurists will pay attention. By that time, enough will be out there to "convince" them.

Gary North once argued that a more effective way of convincing people of Reconstructionism (which I reject) is to WORK in God's Name. Non-theonomists would take notice, and want to be a part of it. It is the same with Preterism.
