Funny Stuff
"I don't want to look like I slept upside down in a posthole, like I bounced off the back of a covered wagon, like I am eating out of trash cans, like I am living out of a food pantry, or like I am getting my clothes from the missionary barrel. I have had enough of that. You can keep it if you want to. I will endure the persecution that comes with the blessing. Why hasn't the body of Christ received this truth? Why are we not living this reality? I am telling you, if you will pray God's way, God can open up whatever you need opened up in your life. Your prayer, mixed with giving, will become a memorial before God."

News: 72% of teens say abortion wrong
Posted on Tuesday, November 25 @ 06:08:36 PST by Virgil

Society A new Gallup survey of teens finds 72 percent believe abortion is morally wrong. "We're winning the struggle for hearts and minds," Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, told Baptist Press. "The young people are more conservative than their parents."

The survey of youth, aged 13 to 17, indicated just 19 percent believe abortion should be legal in all circumstances, compared to 26 percent for adults. About 47 percent of teens said it should be legal under some circumstances, while 55 percent of adults agreed.

About 32 percent of teens thought abortion should never be permitted, while only 17 percent of adults said the same.

The poll showed teens who do not attend church are more likely to believe abortion is morally acceptable, about 38 percent, compared to 12 percent among churchgoers.

About 40 percent of churchgoing teens believe abortion should be illegal under any circumstance, compared to 26 percent for non-churchgoers.

The Gallup Youth Survey was done through a scientific methodology via the Internet to ensure a representative sample of the U.S. population. The questionnaire was completed by 517 youths.

Maybe you should be allowed to run for Congress when you're 13, for president when you're 16! (I just wanted to beat the legislate-Christianity-now crowd to that suggestion!)
