News: Why Defend the Ten Commandments and Judge Roy Moore?
Posted on Tuesday, November 18 @ 12:22:34 PST by John

Justice Lynn submitted: "Are the courts removing God forever from public life? Why care? Why should we support Judge Roy Moore? Christians who think the New World Order is God's prophecy and have no interest in defending their God given rights should understand what is at stake.

The following is an excerpt from the book "Prophecy Paradox: the Case for a First Century End Time" by Lynn Schuldt (Appendix 1) www.NoEndAmen.com

The fundamental difference between the government of the United States and the world government of the United Nations is the source of rights. The Constitution of the United States was written with the premise that the people possess God given rights. These are rights that only God has the power to take away. Under the world order, people only possess rights granted by government. Government then has the power to take them away.
The Declaration of Independence states that all men "are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights." The Bill of Rights was written to secure these God given rights. Specifically, the Bill of Rights does not grant rights. It secures rights that people already possess from God. The rights that the government grants, the government can take away. The rights that God grants, only God can take away. Notice the words of the First Amendment that restrict the government from imposing upon our God given rights:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

While our Bill of Rights states that Congress shall make "no law...," the United Nation's Covenant on Civil and Political Rights grants rights, which they give themselves the power to take away with phrases such as "subject to limitations as prescribed by law," and "subject to restrictions such as provided by law." For example:

Article 18

"1. Everyone shall have the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion..."
"2. Freedom to manifest one's religion or beliefs may be subject only to such limitations as are prescribed by law and are necessary to protect public safety, order, health, or morals or the fundamental rights and freedom of others."

Article 19

"2. Everyone shall have the right to freedom of expression..."
"3. The exercise of the rights provided for in Paragraph 2 of this article carries with it special duties and responsibilities. It may therefore be subject to certain restrictions, but these shall only be such as are prescribed by law."

Article 21

"The right of peaceful assembly shall be recognized.
"No restriction may be placed on the exercise of this right other than those imposed in conformity with the law."

Article 22

"Everyone shall have the right to freedom of association with others.
"No restriction may be placed on the exercise of this right other than those which are prescribed by law..."

Please pay particular attention to the fact this covenant grants rights which they can take away according to any law or restriction they impose. In contrast with our Bill of Rights, our government does not grant rights. Therefore, our government cannot take them away. Our rights are God given and only God can take them away. We should never allow control of our God given rights to be taken from God and entrusted into the hands of men.
There is no mention of God's existence in the United Nation's documents. Logically, if rights are not given by God, then they are granted by government, which then has the right to restrict them. In the UN Charter and UN Covenants, the government does just this, it grants rights and also assumes the power to take them away.
The U.S. Declaration of Independence states that men "are endowed by their Creator" with rights, and to secure those rights "...Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed." The clear message of the Declaration of Independence is that the power to control government comes from the governed people, and the purpose of government is to protect our God given rights. The government of the United States was originally built with these priorities: God is first, individuals are second and government is last.

Lynn, would you propose that the "death penalty" laws that we have on the books here are an outcome of the Jewish Law? Consequently, are you for or against death penalty?

Some one did point out to me this week that if you place a sign in front of a building populated with lawyers and politicians that says "Thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not lie, and thou shalt not commit adultery" that you should expect some resistance.
