The recent migration to a new website has really taken up a lot of my time, so I need to appeal to the kindness of those of you interested to help me out with the development of a taxonomy tree for the new Planet Preterist website. This is a task that will take time but it will be of great benefit in the future. While the old website had a lot of content on it, it also lacked a logical and taxonomical layout of the data. Fortunately the new site has a strong support for categorization and tagging of content, and that's where you come in.

Since I am not aware of any automatic taxonomy generator for Drupal (at least none that works well), I would like to approach this problem in two steps.

1. With YOUR help develop an initial category tree that makes sense for Planet Preterist and for a website focused on Preterist eschatology. We'd have to agree on a logical way to organize information. A short example:

--AD 70
---Gary DeMar
---Left Behind
----Jack VanImpe
--John Calvin
--Emergent Church

2. The second step would involve those of you willing to volunteer and help out with tagging content and articles accordingly, so they match the structure we agree on. This may take a little bit of time, but it will be worth it in the end.

So...if you want to volunteer to help me out with this undertaking, please let me know. If you want to suggest a logical taxonomy tree for the site, even better! Either way, I need help to get this done, so let me know if you are interested in helping out.

Assuming that we'll have the conference this year, that sounds great to me.

Whatever happened to the Open Bible Project, Virgil? Is that still on as well?

Just curious.

Sure, it's floating out there and anyone can add content any time the want. :) If we'd get even only 10 dedicated people to contribute to that thing on a regular basis, it would have been done by now!
