Those with conditions that can usually be corrected medically - such as deformed feet and cleft lips and palates - are instead being terminated. And the number of abortions of Down's syndrome babies now outstrips live births, despite the fact that those with the condition can live a long and fulfilling life. As screening techniques improve, the trend is likely to grow - horrifying pro-life campaigners.

Ohio Newspapers Pick up PlanetPreterist Press Release

It seems like the news of Preterism is stirring up some interest in the hearts of some newspapers editors across Ohio. The Xenia Daily Gazette, Dayton Daily News and Ashtabula Star Beacon have all published or set deadlines for articles or press releases concerning Preterism and the upcoming TruthVoice 2004: The Road Ahead conference which will take place on June 10 and 11 in Springfield, Ohio.

What's Really Wrong With Public Schools?

By David H. Chilton
The usual argument against public education is very convincing. And very wrong. It runs something like this: Public schools have become breeding grounds for violence and sexual promiscuity; they often are outlets for socialist propaganda; they now constitute a formidable enemy of Christianity (by teaching evolution and prohibiting prayer and Bible reading) and of the family (by teaching sex education and deriding traditional authority structures).

How the Evangelicals and Catholics Joined Forces

In 1960, the last time a Roman Catholic ran for president, evangelical Protestant leaders warned their flocks that electing John F. Kennedy would be like handing the Oval Office to the Antichrist. So deep was the antipathy toward Catholics that the president of the National Association of Evangelicals sent a distressed letter to pastors saying: "Public opinion is changing in favor of the church of Rome. We dare not sit idly by - voiceless and voteless."

Why Hollywood Hates Christianity

What do you get when you cross the village atheist with the village idiot? Saved -- the alleged comedy polluting theaters nationwide this weekend. Recall the wailing and hand-wringing that accompanied the release of Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ, in February. Given the hysterical reaction to Gibson’s opus, you’d think Hollywood had suddenly become an adjunct of "The 700 Club." But The Passion was an aberration that never would have been made without the influence of its famous producer/director.

Pope worries about 'soulless' life in America

VATICAN CITY - Pope John Paul II warned several U.S. bishops Friday that American society is in danger of turning against spirituality in favor of materialistic desires, giving way to a “soulless vision of life.”

The Story of Two Buses

by Gary North

Picture this. You’re driving down the highway with your nine-year-old son. You’re in the middle lane. On your right, one behind the other, are two buses. The bus in front is painted white. The bus behind is painted yellow. The bus in front has its windows painted over. The bus behind does not.

John Wesley's Bimillennialism

by Kurt Simmons
Below are the relevent portions of John Wesely's commentary on Rev. 20:1-7 and the enigmatic "millennia." As will be seen, Wesley held firmly to two distinct "thousand-year" periods, not one like most modern exegetes. Other scholars agreed, including John Owens, the Puritan theologian, and J.W. Bengel, the Greek scholar. As these other quotes become available, we will post them. As Wesley's comments and my debate with Mr. Frost show, Bimillennialism is neither novel or frivolous. Indeed, we doubt it can be successfully refuted.
