Israel, Build the Temple Now!

By Ariel Natan Pasko

The State of Israel - the Jewish state - should start rebuilding the Beit HaMikdash - the Temple destroyed by the Romans almost 2,000 years ago - right now. There it's been said! Now that we've broken through the psychological barrier, we can begin to discuss openly and calmly, what until now was forbidden to say, or even think.

The talking carp

by Andrei Codrescu

I don't watch evangelical TV or subscribe to cult newsletters, so I have no idea if signs and miracles have been multiplying out there. So when a Hebrew-talking carp made the NY Times front-page I paid attention.

The Beast in Jerusalem

by Marcus Booker

When Cash Is Only Skin Deep

A Florida company has announced plans to develop a service that would allow consumers to pay for merchandise using microchips implanted under their skin.

The Beast: Jewish or Roman?

The view that Caesar Nero is the human representation of the beast is one of the more popular interpretations within the preterist camp. Partial preterist Kenneth Gentry explains this view well in his book "The Beast of Revelation". Edward Stevens has written a interesting short article which is posted on his website concerning this subject. He holds another preterist view that the identity of the beast is Jewish rather then Roman.

The Catholic Encyclopedia: Priesthood

The word priest (Germ. Priester; Fr. prêtre; Ital. prete) is derived from the Greek presbyteros (the elder, as distinguished from neoteros, the younger), and is, in the hieratical sense, equivalent to the Latin sacerdos, the Greek iereus, and the Hebrew kahane. By the term is meant a (male) person called to the immediate service of the Deity and authorized to hold public worship, especially to offer sacrifice.

72% of teens say abortion wrong

A new Gallup survey of teens finds 72 percent believe abortion is morally wrong. "We're winning the struggle for hearts and minds," Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, told Baptist Press. "The young people are more conservative than their parents."

Woman in subzero temps 'saved by angels'

How did Mischelle Hileman survive a weeklong ordeal in the Oregon wilderness, stranded in subzero temperatures without a winter coat or matches to start a fire? She says two angels stayed with her each night, emanating warmth and light.

Word games on Rapture

Brother Dr. Birks is trying to prove that “harpazo” is about spiritual movement, not a physical one and in addition the Greek word does not contain any indication of direction. Some examples listed, the case of Philip, the case of hireling and wolf, and the rapture of Paul or his friend. The main point that the rapture occured in spiritual sense, and did not affect the body.

The Episcopalian Planet of the Apes

By Doug Giles

On Nov. 2, this year, an openly gay priest namely, Vicki Gene Robinson, was consecrated bishop of the Episcopal New Hampshire diocese. Incidentally, for the uninitiated, Vicki is a homosexual male priest.
Now, that's just great, isn't it? Wonderful! Yippee!
