The U.S. Senate in the balance

In what could be a fatal blow to the Democrats' majority in the U.S. Senate, Robert Torricelli, the New Jersey senator is being pressured to quit the senate race. State and national Democratic leaders were negotiating with Torricelli to end his re-election campaign after months of news about illegal campaign donations and unethical behavior, sources said Monday.

The "A.D. 70 Doctrine" and the Dating of The New Testament

A Critical Review by Stanley Paher

Among the American churches of the Restoration Movement has appeared of late an interpretation of fulfilled Bible prophecy commonly known as the "A.D. 70 Doctrine". Its adherents teach that: 1) the "second coming" of Christ, 2) the resurrection of the dead, 3) the judgment day, 4) the end of the world, and 5) the coming of Christ's kingdom all were fulfilled in the events pertaining to the Roman Empire's destruction of Jerusalem in the summer of 70 A.D.

Turkey Seizes Weapons-Grade Uranium...and it is made in Germany!

Turkish paramilitary police have seized more than 33 pounds of weapons-grade uranium and detained two men accused of smuggling the material, the state-run Anatolian news agency said on Saturday.

How do you know the Bible is true?

from WND.com

"How do we know the Bible is true? Please don't tell me it's because the Bible says so. No disrespect intended, but that's circular reasoning. The Koran and every other supposed holy book also claim to be the true revealed text directly from God. So how do you really know the Bible, and not the Koran, is the revealed word of God?"

O'Reilly takes on Amazon.com on 'boy lover book' tonight!

Richard D. Ackerman, the attorney from the United States Justice Foundation who has threatened to sue online retailer Amazon.com for selling a book about homosexual pedophilia, will be a guest on the top-rated cable program "The O'Reilly Factor" on Fox News Channel tonight. Don Preston was first to notify PlanetPreterist concerning Amazon.com's sales of pedophilia materials.

Amazon.com endorsing pedophilia

by Don Preston
It is unconscionable that anyone would contemplate selling such a book, yet Amazon clearly is not concerned about the content of what they sell, only in satisfying their

The person behind the throne: Barbra Streisand

The Drudge Report released a confidential memo faxed by Barbra Streisand to the Democratic Leader Richard Gephardt in which Streisand warns Democrats to "get off the defensive and go on the offensive" and reminded Gephardt (spelled "Gebhardt" in the memo) that "Hussein did not bomb the World Trade Center."

Jack takes a stab at PlanetPreterist

Yes, I find it hard to believe myself, but it looks like we are getting to Jack. In this week's broadcast, Jack attacked this article on PlanetPreterist and the "angry" comments from preterists on it. He made the point that preterism is "anti prophecy" (that shows how much he knows about it), it is a "devastating heresy", and that he will keep calling it "Oscar Mayer Bologna".

Is Heaven in the Big Rock Candy Mountains?

by Virgil Vaduva
If you ask one hundred Christians today what Heaven is like, you will get one hundred different answers. Most believe that Heaven is whatever you want it to be. Some believe it is something similar to the imaginary island of Utopia where nothing ever goes wrong. Rarely does the answer involve the presence of God, and worshiping His majestic being for eternity. What is making Christians today think that Heaven is in the Big Rock Candy Mountains?
